Artist Statement - zuhause

Zuhause is the German word for home. This project shows my home, my family. The pictures were taken during a period of time were a lot of things changed. My sisters and I were grown up, we moved away from our parent's place, a place which was always known to us as „zuhause". Now we had to find our own place, knowing that all our future homes would never provide the same feeling of being at home.

The project captures personal moments and memories and deals with the process of growing up, letting go, making room for something new in life.
